DOS CAMINOS PLAZA ASSOCIATION

SIGN POLICY

Dated January 18, 1988

PURPOSE:  the purpose is to regulate and control the location, size, type and number of signs permitted on any exterior surface within Dos Caminos Plaza.

PERMISSION REQUIRED:  No person shall authorize, erect, construct, place, suspend or attach any sign within the plaza without first obtaining written permission from the Board of Directors.

APPLICATION:  An application for permission shall include a sketch drawn to scale indicating the proposed sign, its location, color, design and other information as may be required by the Board of Directors.

OFFICE IDENTIFYING SIGNS:  Each member of Dos Caminos Plaza Association may post an office identifying sign after receipt of written approval of the Board of Directors such that the sign shall be a wall sign mounted on the surface of the building.  One sign per business shall be allowed at the front access door.  sign shall be not less than four (4) feet and not more than six (6) feet from the ground.  sign shall be not more than three (3) feet from the door frame.  sign shall be in the shape of a hexagram and made out of sandblasted redwood.  sign shall not protrude from the wall more than 1 3/4 inches.  In the interior of the sign, a square piece of plastic may be inscribed with the name of the business and any professional designation of the user.   suite number shall be carved out of the sandblasted redwood and painted white.   See diagram for shape, scale and color of sign.

MAINTENANCE:  the user of a sign approved by the Board of Directors must maintain it in a manner satisfactory to the Board.  this shall include no rust, chipped or peeling structures or faces.  the user will remove at his expense any sign no longer representing a place of business.  Once removed, the user will repair any holes and paint to blend with the building.
